PROTECH ZIP WEEDER

1. Use the Zip Weeder in moist soil for best results. Moist soil after a rain or watering allows more of the root to be removed.
2. Secure the Zip Weeder into the drill chuck.
3. Place the tool fork over the weed root and press down, forcing the fork into the soil around the weed root.\
4. Start the drill motor and continue pressing down if more depth is needed. The Zip Weeder will wrap the weed around the fork and produce a plug of soil containing the root.
5. With the drill still running, retract the Zip Weeder until it is out of the ground.
6. Shut off the drill.
7. While holding the drill in one hand, grasp the ejector with the other and push down. The weed will drop from between the forks. Additional passes can be made for stubborn weeds with deep roots.

PROTECH BULB PLANTERS AND EARTH AUGERS

1. Insert Auger or Bulb Planter tightly into drill and tighten drill chuck on all sides.
2. Grasp drill firmly with both hands. (It is not necessary to push down too hard. Augers and Bulb Planters practically screw themselves into the ground.)
3. Drill down 2" to 3" at a time - pull up slowly letting pulverized soil spin off.  Repeat this operation until the desired depth is reached.

REMEMBER: Your Augers and Bulb Planters are for use IN SOIL ONLY.  They will not drill holes through rocks, tree stumps or any object that is not soil.  Should you encounter such an object, pull up, move over, and start again.

BULB PLANTERS

• Model JB-24 - Bulb Planter:  24" Long; Drills Holes 2 ¾" Diameter up to 8" Deep; Fits any ⅜" or ½" Electric or Cordless Drill.
• Model JBB-24 - Big Bulb Planter:  24" Long; Drills Holes 3 ¼" Diameter up to 8" Deep; Fits any ⅜" or ½" Electric or Cordless Drill.
• Model JJB-9 - Jr. Bulb Planter:  9" Long; Drills Holes 1 ¾" Diameter up to 6" Deep; Fits any Electric or Cordless Drill.

EARTH AUGERS

• Model JL-24 - Landscape Auger: 24" Long; Drills Holes 1 ¾" Diameter up to 18" Deep; Fits any ⅜" or ½" Electric or Cordless Drill.
• Model JR-18 - Regular Earth Auger: 18" Long; Drills Holes 1 ¼" Diameter up to 12" Deep; Fits any Electric or Cordless Drill.

WEED MUNCHER

• Model WM-24 - Weed Muncher: 24" Long; Fits any ⅜" or ½" Electric or Cordless Drill.
